Saakashvili sees his freedom as slap in Putin’s face

“Putin is the reason I’m behind bars. When he sees me strolling about freely on the streets of Tbilisi and Kyiv, it will be a slap in his face,” says jailed ex-president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili’s latter that was read at the international conference in Tbilisi.

Ex-president believes “It is possible to defeat Putin in Georgia if you force the Russian oligarch’s government to free me.”

Saakashvili noted that “There are many possible ways to deal with Putin, the main recommendation is not to show fear or hesitation in a decision. It may sound paradoxical, but he is easily afraid when he meets courage, peace, and confident position, be it a person or a country.”
