“Unfortunately, as expected, the Russian delegation quit the 60th round of the Geneva International Discussions (GID),” said the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia on Friday.
“As soon as the issue comes to the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) [to their homes], the Russian delegation leaves the negotiation table. The same thing happened again this time.
The Russian delegation shows neither flexibility nor willingness to discuss fundamental issues such as the return of displaced persons, implementing the 6-point accord, and the withdrawal of forces from the occupied territories,” Darsalia stated.
