The number of coronavirus infections in Russia increased by 9,412 in the past 24 hours to reach a total of 1,194,643, the country’s health officials unveiled on Friday. Today’s daily rise is the highest since late May.
The death toll from COVID-19 in Russia climbed by 355 to 21,077, while the number of recovered patients rose by 12,039 to a total of 970,296.
On Thursday, Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the city could re-impose severe quarantine measures.
