Roads Department imposes traffic restrictions on select roads due to heavy snowfall

The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure has imposed traffic restrictions on certain routes due to heavy snowfall.

Movement of trailers and semi-trailers is prohibited along the Atskuri-Vale section of the Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale road.

Motor vehicles are not permitted to travel on the Gudani-Shatili section of the Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili road; only four-wheel drive vehicles are allowed on the Korsha-Gudani road.

Trailers and semi-trailers are also banned from the Sachkhere-Uzunta-Shchkmeri-Zudali and Nakerala Pass segments of the Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri roads. However, motorcars may utilize the Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi road.

Additionally, traffic for trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway, which is of international significance. Other vehicles, however, may travel freely.
