“The implementation rate of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) exceeds 90%,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at the EU Enlargement Summit in Brussels, organized by Euronews.

Kobakhidze said the implementation rate had stood at approximately 60-65% around three years ago and now exceeded 90%, demonstrating what he described as Georgia’s serious commitment to European integration.

“The level of fulfillment of our obligations under the Association Agreement and the DCFTA, around two years ago it was about 60 to 65 percent. Now it’s more than 90 percent. That means that despite all the challenges with the European bureaucracy, we are moving forward, including on our obligations under the European integration agenda. At the same time, we are strengthening our domestic democratic system and concentrating on developing the Georgian economy, because we know that when it comes to accession, the economy will be one of the key criteria. Again, we are number one in economic growth in Europe, and we will stay consistent on that,” Kobakhidze said.
