Resolution into Archil Tatunashvili’s case approved

With 106 votes for, Georgian parliament approved the resolution into case of Archil Tatunashvili, Georgian citizen who died in occupied Tskhinvali region.

Lawmakers put the resolution for voting during the plenary session. Political debates were held before the balloting. The document was jointly prepared by Georgian Dream and European Georgia parties.

The joint resolution agreed by the parliamentary majority and minority says that the Georgian government, international organizations and partner states have to impose sanctions, including financial, property and visas, regarding those listed in Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili list.

The government has to determine a body for enforcement of the sanctions and presentation of regular reports.

The government will have to present Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili list to the parliament by June 15.
