Rehabilitation works are ongoing at the 14.6-kilometer-long Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda road of international importance.
According to the Roads Department, the section of the highway will pass Gorelovka and Zhdanov villages and will end at Georgia-Armenia state border.
Based on the project, the width of the road will be expanded, 3 concrete bridges will be reconstructed, and underground water pipes will be replaced.
Locals and transit vehicles use the road. The road rehabilitation works are financed from the state budget and will cost 13 808 673 GEL.
