Rehabilitation of Observatory in Abastumani completed

Rehabilitation of Observatory in Abastumani has competed, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia said.
The Ministry notes that rehabilitated building will house a visitor’s center, cafe, information center, exhibition hall, working space, public toilets, library and parking space.
Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory was founded by Academician Eugene Kharadze In 1932.
10,000 tourists visit the observatory in a year.
The observatory is expected to receive visitors from Spring 2020.
