Rain, thunderstorms to hit Georgia

The National Weather Agency forecasts rain, thunderstorms, and a 3-4 magnitude storm at sea in western Georgia on April 5-6.

Expected heavy rainfall may trigger a significant increase in water levels on the rivers, floods on small rivers in western Georgia, and the avalanche hazard, landslide processes in the mountainous areas, the agency reported.
