Pupil in Lagodekhi contracts coronavirus

A pupil of Iakob Gogebashvili Public School №3 in Lagodekhi has tested positive for coronavirus, said Nunu Nozadze, the head of Lagodekhi Public Health Center.

The infected pupil had contact with ‘border police officer cluster’, who has travel history in Adjara.

The public health centre said the infected pupil did not attend school lessons, but he was at a birthday party in one of the food facilities in Lagodekhi.

At this stage, 14 contacts have been found and the process continues.

Iakob Gogebashvili Public School said the school process has been resumed in full compliance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

The school is waiting for additional preventive measures.
