A protest rally was held in Batumi, at Adjara TV today.
The protest rally was organized by the Alternative Trade Union and was attended by employees of Adjara TV and Radio Company, representatives of European Georgia, the United National Movement, Aleko Elisashvili’s Civil Movement and other political unions.
According to the protesters, the management of Adjara TV is chasing independent journalists and trying to change the editorial policy.
Protesters demand “the immediate return of the dismissed people, the cessation of pressure and intimidation on the members of the Alternative Trade Union, as well as the creation of decent working conditions.”
Adjara TV management did not respond to the rally.
