Prosecutor's Office releases statement on ongoing investigations

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has issued a statement today regarding the ongoing searches related to active investigations.

According to the statement, these investigative actions are underway under the Tbilisi City Court’s rulings.

“As part of the ongoing investigation into allegations of sabotage, attempted sabotage under aggravating circumstances, assistance to a foreign organization engaged in hostile activities, and the mobilization of funds for operations directed against the constitutional order and national security of Georgia, it is public knowledge that on March 17, 2025, the bank accounts of the Nanuka Foundation, Prosperity, Fund for Each Other 24/7, Sirtskhvilia (Shame), and Tbilisi Human Rights House were frozen. These organisations engaged in financing individuals accused of serious crimes against public order, as well as their family members, and in paying administrative fines imposed on violators.

To gather information and documentation of evidentiary value for the criminal case, the Tbilisi City Court authorized searches of the residential buildings and personal premises of the leaders of these foundations—Nana Zhorzholiani, Aleksandre Tskitishvili, Lasha Arveladze, Guga Khelaia, and Mariam Bajelidze—at their actual and registered addresses. Investigative units from the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia are currently conducting these operations,” the Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
