Prosecutor's Office indicts three individuals on charges of violating customs rules
Georgian Prosecutor’s Office reported based on the investigation conducted by the Investigation Service of the Finance Ministry that officials of Batumi Oi Terminal bypassing tax payments and customs proceures and covertly from cutoms control, disposed 10,762,238 tons of crude oil, stored in the customs reservoirs of Batumi Oil Terminal LLC, valued over 15,000,000 GEL, by which the state sustained financial damage in the amount of 3,000,000 GEL.
The indicted individuals face from 11 to 15 years in prison for customs rules violations committed in a group. The Prosecutor’s Office applied to the court for the imposition of preventive measures.
