Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office indicted former Defence Minister Irakli Okruashvili for failing to comply with a lawful request to appear before the Parliamentary Temporary Investigative Commission.
The investigation, initiated under Article 349, was prompted by an appeal from the Commission’s Chairperson, Tea Tsulukiani after Okruashvili declined to attend the session.
“No one has the moral right to participate in that farcical commission while dozens of young people, including Mzia Amaglobeli, remain imprisoned. There is no genuine commission—just as there is no functioning parliament in Georgia,” Okruashvili stated to journalists after leaving the Prosecutor’s Office.
