The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office indicted March protests activist Lazare Grigoriadis on charges of making death threats.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation determined that on April 24, at the entrance to the night bar “Meteor” in Tbilisi, the charged activist, due to dissatisfaction with his expulsion from the premises, demonstrated a knife and threatened to kill and injure a bar employee.
Law enforcers detained Lazare Grigoriadis on April 24 under Article 151 of the Criminal Code, which includes threats. He faces imprisonment for up to 1 year.
The Prosecutor’s Office will apply to the court for the imposition of a punishment measure for Lazare Grigoriadis.
