Georgian Prosecutor's Office seeks extradition of Zurab Adeishvili from Netherlands

The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office has requested the arrest and extradition of Zurab Adeishvili, the former Justice Minister, from the authorities of the Netherlands.

“Under our legal mandate, the Prosecutor’s Office is pursuing all necessary measures to bring individuals who have committed crimes in Georgia to justice, regardless of their whereabouts. Based on publicly available information, our office has contacted the appropriate authorities in the Netherlands to request the arrest of Zurab Adeishvili and his extradition to Georgia,” the Prosecutor’s Office states.

Zurab Adeishvili, who formerly served as Georgia’s Prosecutor General and the Justice Minister, is in the Hague, along with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Adeishvili faces accusations and convictions in several cases in Georgia.
