Prime Minister - We will never tolerate occupation, we use all peaceful leverage to unite our country
Georgia is an independent, democratic state, but part of it is still occupied. We will never tolerate this, we will use all peaceful leverage to unite our country, – the statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia states.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili responds to the day of Soviet occupation with a statement.
“25 February is one of the most tragic day in our nearest history – 97 years ago, a life and death struggle of Georgian patriots and cadets ended with the occupation of the Democratic Republic of Georgia by the Red Army.
The governance of the Soviet regime sacrificed our country’s democratic development and the lives of thousands of our compatriots. In spite of this, the idea of liberty and independence has never extinguished in our nation and the fight for these values has never been suspended.
Georgia is an independent, democratic state, but part of it is still occupied. We will never tolerate this, we will use all peaceful leverage to unite our country.
I’m sure we will be able to hand over a strong and unified country to our next generation” – the statement of Prime Minister reads.
