If not the governmental subsidy, the price on bread would have increased by 15-20 Tetri, Levan Silagava, Executive Director of Wheat and Flour Producers Association told the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).
Levan Silagava commented about the increase of subsidy per bag of flour from 10 to 15 GEL after the price for one bag of flour went up to 68 GEL in Georgia.
He also said a tender would be announced on January 27 for bread producer factories. “The subsidy will give the possibility not to increase the price on bread till April 1,” Silagava claimed.
