Presidents of Georgia and Türkiye held extended meeting
An extended format meeting with delegation participation was held between Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The parties discussed the main directions of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye. Emphasis was placed on the close, friendly and partnership relations between the countries. The extended format meeting focused on cooperation in the spheres of education and security.
According to the Georgian President’s office, the meeting addressed issues of economic cooperation between the countries. Additionally, the parties expressed readiness to deepen bilateral and regional cooperation in political, economic and cultural directions.
The Georgian delegation comprises: Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia, Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Türkiye Archil Kalandia, representatives of the President’s Administration, and the head and members of the Friendship Group with the Parliament of the Republic of Türkiye: Giorgi Chkonia, Mariam Lashkhi, and Guram Macharashvili.
