Presidential Administration announces competition for National Award
A special commission established at the instruction of the President of Georgia announced a competition for the National Award of Georgia.
The 9-member commission, led by Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs, Professor Zviad Gabisonia, held the first sitting at the Presidential Palace.
An individual will be awarded the National Award for scientific research or a series of scientific works in natural, humanitarian, political, legal, medical, or enjineering sciences that won universal recognition and made a special contribution both to Georgian science but global spiritual, social and/or economic development.
As a rule, the award is given to a citizen of Georgia annually, no more than two times, each in the amount of 10,000 (ten thousand) GEL. The person who wins the award will be granted a diploma, a badge and a corresponding monetary prize.
However, at the decision of the Georgian President, the award may go to a foreigner, a non-resident or a deceased individual. Educational and scientific institutions, creative or initiative groups can nominate candidates.
“Nomination for the award is permissible only after the publication of the scientific paper and/or its practical application; It is not allowed to submit the same work, except for the case when the work was not eligible for the competition due to a technical error,” the Presidential Administration said.
Applications will be submitted from December 12 to December 26 at the Presidential Administration at #25 Atoneli Street or online at [email protected].
