The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, was hosted at a working dinner by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Đuro Macut, together with his delegation, the Administration of the President of Georgia reported.
According to the Administration, the meeting focused on close cooperation between Georgia and Serbia and the prospects for expanding bilateral relations.
“Attention was focused on the friendly and traditional ties between the two peoples, their cultural proximity, and shared values. It was also noted that the common cultural foundation and the shared geopolitical challenges facing Georgia and Serbia create additional incentives for deepening relations and strengthening each other’s positions in the international arena.
The working dinner was attended by members of the Georgian delegation, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili; Members of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Mezurnishvili, Irma Zavradashvili, and Guram Macharashvili; Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Serbia Levan Beridze; and representatives of the Administration of the President of Georgia,” the statement said.
