President Kavelashvili: For over three decades, Special State Protection Service stood vigilant over our nation’s stability, security, and peace

“For centuries, the concept of the Georgian warrior and defender of the homeland has been synonymous with exceptional dignity, courage, and loyalty. You are the worthy custodians of this proud tradition,” stated the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, in his address to attendees marking the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the Special State Protection Service (SSPS).

According to the President, this anniversary is of paramount importance to Georgian statehood, as the service is a primary pillar underpinning the institutional resilience of a strong and sovereign state. President Kavelashvili expressed his gratitude to all officers, veterans, and active personnel of the Special State Protection Service for their dedication and tireless service.

“For more than three decades, your service has stood firmly on guard, protecting our country’s stability, security, and national peace. Your profound professionalism and unconditional devotion to the motherland guarantee that our country’s highest institutions and state interests are securely protected. Every one of you understands completely that your daily operations protect not only specific dignitaries and strategic installations, but also safeguard the overarching image and international reputation of the state itself,” Mikheil Kavelashvili declared.

The President’s Administration reported that the President also stressed the need to adapt to global challenges, noting that adopting modern standards reinforces international trust and highlights the strength of the Georgian state.

The ceremony was attended by members of the legislature and executive branches alongside President Kavelashvili.
