Mikheil Kavelashvili wished success to Giorgi Modebadze in his future activities, underscoring that it was the highest responsibility and honour to be the Constitutional Court Judge defending the main law of the country and “exercise constitutional control.”

“Approximately one year ago, I took the oath before God and the nation that I would defend the Constitution. This is the main, supreme law, which should be defended by each Georgian citizen. Our country is undergoing a decisive stage.

After the restoration of our independence, we all see the situation around us, the challenges, and the attitude of each institution, as well as each citizen, towards the law, which is crucial. We witness attacks, violations of laws and the Constitution. Therefore, all those capable of defending the state should foremostly defend the Constitution as the supreme obligation,” he said.
