“The policy of the Georgian government has not changed. Georgia is not going to return territories by force,” said Georgian President Salome Zourabishvili at the special briefing held at the Orbeliani Presidential Palace.
President called on Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to immediately convene the sitting of the National Security Council.
“The Security Council should consider reactions in Abkhazia and South Ossetia (two occupied regions), not to allow separatists to take advantage of the events with the purpose to generate ungrounded fears among the locals toward Georgia.
Our policy has not changed and will not change. Georgia is not going to return territories by force. This should be said and repeated. And finally, it is essential to continue exchange of information and keep tight communication with our foreign partners,” she said.
