President calls on political actors to prefer to country interests

President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili said the hearing of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Bolstering Democracy in Georgia is the confirmation that relationship with Georgia and strengthening Georgia’s democratic institutions are important for the strategic partner.

According to President, the US will continue to support Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration. The US and the European Georgia stand with Georgia in the process to overcome the political crisis.

President Salome Zourabichvili called on political actors to prefer the country rather than narrow political interests.

“Prolonging the crisis is beneficial for Georgia’s benevolent forces. The country needs stability, which we can achieve only by strengthening state institutions and carrying out new democratic reforms,” Salome Zourabichvili said.
