President awards 23 Olympic champions with Presidential Order of Excellence

President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili awarded Georgian Olympic champions with Presidential Order of Excellence. The Presidential Order of Excellence has been awarded to 23 sportsmen. It was the second Presidential Order of Excellence for two of them – Lasha Talakhadze and Vladimet Khinchegashvili, who are the winners of the Rio Olympic Games.

The award ceremony was held at the Olympic Committee of Georgia. The following sportsmen have been awarded : Aleksandre Anpilogov, Olympic medalist in men’s handball, Giorgi Asanidze, Olympic champion in weightlifting, Vakhtang Blagidze, Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, Davit Gobejishvili, Olympic medalist in freestyle wrestling, Vladimer Gogoladze, Olympic champion in sport gymnastics, Olympic champion in Judo Zurab Zviadauri, Levan Tediashvili – two-time Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling, Vazha Kacharava, Olympic champion in volleyball, Gela Ketashvili, Olympic champion in football, Kakhi Kakhiashvili – three-time Olympic champion in weightlifting, Manuchar Kvirkvelia, Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, Ketevan Losaberidze – Olympic champion in archery, Revaz Mindorashvili, Olympic medalist in freestyle wrestling, Roman Rurua, Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, Nino Salukvadze, Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, shooting medalist Nino Salukvadze, Olympic triple jump champion Viktor Saneev, Robert Shavlakadze, Olympic champion in high jumping, Lasha Shavdatuashvili, Olympic champion in Judo, Olympic weightlifter Rafael Chimishkian, Irakli Tsirekidze, Olympic Champion in Judo, Olympic wrestler Leri Khabelov, Shota Khabareli, Olympic champion in Judo and Davit Khakhaleishvilim Olympic champion in Judo.
