Postcard reflecting Besleti Queen Tamar Bridge presented at competition

Georgia presented a postcard reflecting Besleti Queen Tamar Bridge at the competition of Post Operators European Association – Post Europ.

The topic of the competition is bridges. About 70 postcards are presented at the competition. They are published on the official web-page of Post Europ. Voting will be possible till September 9, 2018. Post Europ united post companies of 49 countries.

The Besleti Bridge, also known as the Queen Tamar Bridge, is a medieval arched stone bridge at Sukhumi, Georgia’s breakaway republic of Abkhazia. Located some 6 km from the city centre, the bridge spans the small mountain River Besletka, and dates back to the late 12th century. Bridge of Besleti has been given the status of national importance monument.
