Police in Adjara seize commercial quantity of Alpha-PVP and detain two foreign citizens

Police in Adjara have arrested two foreign nationals on charges of purchasing, possessing, and facilitating the sale of commercial quantities of illegal narcotics.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), officers from the Adjara Police Department conducted stop-and-search operations in Batumi, recovering large volumes of pre-packaged synthetic drug Alpha-PVP, intended for street distribution, both on the suspects’ persons and from designated stash points.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260 and 260 (4) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carry penalties of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
