Police report administrative detention of two individuals during protest on Rustaveli Avenue

Law enforcement officers have detained two individuals at a protest on Rustaveli Avenue.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs told the GPB First Channel, the two individuals were detained under Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offences, which addresses disobedience to a lawful request made by a police officer.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs further stated that both detainees had been transferred to a pre-trial detention centre.
