Police arrest foreign national wanted under Interpol Red Notice in Batumi

Officers from the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have arrested a foreign national wanted under an Interpol Red Notice.

The suspect was subject to an international search warrant issued at the request of law enforcement authorities of the Republic of Turkey for intentional homicide committed in Turkey.

Following investigative operations, law enforcement officers located and apprehended the wanted individual in Batumi.

Extradition procedures as provided by law are currently underway.
