PM's spokesperson - Foreign citizens are banned from entering Georgia for the next two weeks

Citizens of foreign countries will be denied of entry into the country at the sovereign border of Georgia for two weeks from March 18, 2020, amid coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia’s spokesperson Irakli Chikovani announced.

PM’s spokesperson added that Georgian citizens will be able to return to the country.

“For the next two weeks, foreign citizens will not be allowed to enter Georgia. Georgian citizens and their family members who wish to return to Georgia may use the air service operated by Georgian Airlines,” said Irakli Chikovani.

Georgia has confirmed 33 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). 637 individuals are quarantined at present and 54 remain under monitoring and surveillance at healthcare facilities of the country.
