PM: We must confront hatred with love

“The Christmas Epistle emphasizes the importance of faith and love for both God and humanity. Love is what our society desperately needs,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze after the festive Christmas liturgy at the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral.

According to the Prime Minister, certain forces are attempting to sow artificial hatred in place of love within society.

“We must counter hatred with love, which is the central message of the Christmas Epistle. The Patriarch’s messages address the realities our country faces, as exemplified today. A disconnection from God and faith emerges as one of the most profound challenges of the modern world, representing a critical issue we must address.

An ideology is permeating Georgia that distances individuals from God and undermines their faith. We must confront this challenge head-on. We must safeguard our faith and uphold our traditional values.

Our focus should be on addressing these issues. The modern world is confronting serious challenges associated with specific political and ideological trends, and we must actively combat them,” he told reporters.
