“I had a very friendly and productive meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe. We agreed to continue tight cooperation between Georgia and the CoE,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze following the meeting with Alain Berset, CoE Secretary General.
According to the PM, Alain Berset’s Georgian visit is significant.
“We spoke about ongoing processes in the country and Georgia-CoE cooperation. We agreed to continue tight cooperation between Georgia and the CoE. Since 1990, we have been linked through close cooperation. We are interested in this cooperation to continue. The role of the Secretary General is special in this and we are confident that our country will have Alain Berset’s support in all directions,” he said.
Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe arrived in Georgia for an official visit.
