Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze voted in the 2024 parliamentary elections at the #27 polling station in the Vake constituency.
According to the PM, the 2024 elections are pivotal, equal to a referendum.
“Today, we should remind ourselves that this is a pivotal, decisive election, equal to a referendum and that of 2012, which will decide the direction of our country’s development. This is a referendum between war and peace, immoral propaganda and traditional values, dark past and bright future.
You see that two political forces mainly compete in the elections. One proposes everything that should be left in the past and we, who offer voters the country’s bright future, economic progress and development. We have an optimistic prognosis, expect 60% of votes that is key to continue stable and peaceful development,” he said.
The PM called on all political parties to recognize the election outcomes presented by the Central Election Commission (CEC).
“I call on all political parties to recognize the election outcomes presented by the CEC. This is the difference between us and the opposition. I also urge the opposition to reconcile with our 60-percent result and acknowledge that Georgian people finally denounced them and rejected to return to the dark past,” he said.
The 2024 parliamentary elections are held on October 26 in Georgia.
