PM: Romania may be interested in enlargement, Moldova’s position, readiness to give up sovereignty concerning

“We find the Moldovan government’s position, its readiness to give up sovereignty and independence, concerning,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in Abu Dhabi.

Irakli Kobakhidze commented on a statement of Romania, saying it is ready to “seriously consider the issue of unification with Moldova.”

“We support Moldova’s sovereignty if the Moldovan people do not decide otherwise. I would say that the Moldovan government’s attitude about the country’s sovereignty is concerning. Undoubtedly, Romania may be interested in enlargement, and it is its affair. For us, the Moldovan government’s position, its readiness to give up sovereignty and independence, is concerning,” he said.
