PM: Pensions for former law enforcement employees to increase
Pensions for former employees of law enforcement agencies will increase up to GEL 1000 from 2024, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced at the Cabinet meeting.
According to the PM, this 20% increase would be a “worthy pension with the prospects of a further gradual rise, according to revenues,” adding that the pension was up to GEL 560 before.
Also, the PM announced a rise in compensation for the family members of those law-enforcement officers who died while performing their professional duties.
“Their compensation will increase from GEL 1,000 to GEL 1,200. In 2012, it was zero GEL, no attention was paid to these people,” he said.
