PM: October 4 to pass peacefully; Georgia's stable development to continue
“We believe that the local government elections will pass peacefully and that October 4, despite some frivolous announcements, will proceed smoothly, allowing the country’s peaceful and stable development to continue,” stated Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, during his address at the Business Association of Georgia (BAG) conference.
As the head of government emphasised, every effort will be made to ensure that both the political and economic environment remains stable for businesses.
“Today, we are seeing a calm situation. We are preparing for the local self-government elections, confident that they will be conducted peacefully. Despite some frivolous announcements, we expect that October 4 will be peaceful, and the country’s ongoing peaceful and stable development will persist.
For both the government and the business community, peace and stability are of paramount importance from a political perspective. We take responsibility for this and will do everything in our power to ensure a stable political and economic environment for your business activities.
We need to engage in consultation, work closely with you, and foster cooperation. Today provides a valuable opportunity for this, and we remain fully open to collaboration, dialogue, and your advice moving forward. Once again, we reaffirm our respect and our commitment to working together,” the Prime Minister stated.
