PM meets Georgia's new Ambassador to Bulgaria 

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Otar Berdzenishvili, Georgia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Bulgaria. The PM congratulated him on the appointment and wished him success.

The key directions of cooperation between Georgia and Bulgaria were discussed at the meeting.

Previously, Otar Berdzenishvili served as Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea. At different times, he served as Special Assignment Ambassador in the Foreign Ministry, also as Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federative Republic of Brazil and as Georgia’s Representative to the Caribbean Community.

He worked as Director of the Department of the Americas of the Foreign Ministry, also as Head of the Administration of the Defense Ministry and later as Deputy Minister.

Otar Berdzenishvili held the position of Advisor for the Division of the Americas at the Global Affairs Department of the Foreign Ministry, also having served as Attaché at Georgia’s Embassy to the US, Canada and Mexico, and later as First Secretary.
