PM Kobakhidze: Youth must take reins of governance; our future strategy reflects this essential transition
“During a meeting with the leadership, chairman, and board members of the Georgian Dream party’s youth wing, a wide range of issues was highlighted, and future strategies were thoroughly reviewed,” said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream party, speaking to journalists at the party headquarters.
According to Kobakhidze, concrete action plans were established during the session.
“We reviewed the meetings that have taken place across the regions, which highlighted numerous key issues. We also mapped out our future strategies for the youth organisation’s activities. We intend to work extensively in this direction, particularly over the next two years; we have set out concrete objectives, and this active engagement will continue,” Kobakhidze noted.
When asked whether young people would become directly involved in political life, Kobakhidze stated that there is immense interest among the youth.
“Naturally, there is a great deal of interest. Broadly speaking, the future governance of this country must be handed over to the younger generation. Because of this, planning our work correctly in this area is vitally important. I will say it once again: we will work actively in this direction over the next two years,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
