PM Kobakhidze: We shared draft amendments with infrastructure companies to ensure state pays market prices for quality infrastructure
“We met with companies involved in the development of state infrastructure,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
According to the Prime Minister, the primary objective is to ensure the highest possible quality of infrastructure, with the state paying market prices for these services.
“We held a series of meetings with sector representatives. They shared their specific outlooks on various issues. Today, we introduced a draft of amendments designed to enhance the sector’s overall situation. These relate to pricing and indexation. Our main goal is to secure high-quality infrastructure, and the state must pay market prices for that.
At the same time, we are committed to strengthening companies, particularly Georgian enterprises. This is our key priority, and the changes we discussed today are designed to serve that purpose. These amendments have generally received their approval. We also expressed our full readiness to continue collaborating with relevant companies through ongoing consultations. It is on this foundation that we can achieve high-quality infrastructure at appropriate prices. This remains our main task,” the Prime Minister stated.
