PM Kobakhidze: We replaced heads of all state-owned enterprises, and their large-scale streamlining saves Georgia 60m GEL annually
“We replaced the executive leadership across all state-owned enterprises, and they subsequently carried out a large-scale streamlining process, which saves our country 60 million GEL annually,” the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, told journalists.
According to the Prime Minister, there was significant room for structural optimisation, and consequently, every measure was taken to cut redundant costs.
“These individuals were primarily employed in state-owned enterprises, including the railway network, energy companies, and others. There was clear potential for streamlining, and as a result, every effort was made to save public funds. In total, approximately 60 million GEL is saved annually through this optimisation. A flawed practice had become established, which has now been replaced with the correct approach.
I thank the heads of all the relevant state-owned enterprises. First and foremost, we replaced the leadership across all state-owned enterprises, and they implemented a large-scale streamlining process, which saves our country 60 million GEL annually,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
