“Yesterday, five law enforcement officials were detained on suspicion of violence against specific individuals during the violent protests in November and December of last year,” announced the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, during a government session.

According to the Prime Minister, this incident underscores the critical importance of coordination between law enforcement agencies.

“We have our own unique approach and ambition to operate with standards that surpass those of Europe and America, standards rooted in greater humanity. Even when the state must confront violent attempts to change the constitutional order, we strive to uphold these principles. We have demonstrated this commitment once again. No case of excessive force must go unpunished if we are to protect our integrity and standards. The arrest of those individuals yesterday reflects this attitude. When law is broken, the state must respond,” the Prime Minister affirmed.
