PM Kobakhidze vows to eradicate “artificially imposed hatred”, highlights critical role of new hate speech division

“Every effort must be made to put an end to the artificially imposed hatred and aggression within our country,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told reporters during his visit to Kazakhstan.

The head of government emphasised that the operations of the newly established division dedicated to combating hate speech are of paramount importance.

“This process is absolutely vital for ensuring healthy relationships prevail within our country and our society. For years, primarily through foreign funding, hatred and aggression have been forced upon us, and this must stop. Such behaviour is fundamentally alien and unacceptable to Georgian culture.

Consequently, everything within our power must be done to bring an end to this artificially imposed hatred and hostility in our nation. In this regard, the establishment of this division and its ongoing work carry immense significance, and its activities will continue to receive the utmost attention moving forward,” the Prime Minister stated.
