Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, together with members of the Cabinet, visited the Georgian exhibition spaces at the China International Import Expo (CIIE).
According to the Government of Georgia, this year, Georgia is participating in the international exhibition as a Guest of Honour.
The Head of Government of Georgia emphasised the importance of participating in large-scale events of this kind for showcasing the country’s tourism and investment potential.
“For us, it is very important to increase exports, expand into the Chinese market, and further strengthen our trade relations overall. In this regard, participation in this exhibition is of great significance. We spoke with Georgian entrepreneurs and learned that Chinese companies are showing increasing interest in importing more Georgian products into China. This will help promote the development of our country’s economy, and we will continue to work actively in this direction,” stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
The Government Administration informed that visitors have the opportunity to explore Georgia’s rich traditions, culture, and centuries-old winemaking heritage, as well as its cuisine, and to participate in various masterclasses. The Georgian exhibition spaces also offer wine tastings and cultural performances.
Over 40 Georgian companies are represented at the international exhibition.
This marks Georgia’s eighth participation in the China International Import Expo, which annually attracts over 200,000 visitors from 150 countries.
