Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze held a meeting with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The discussion centred on the positive trajectory of bilateral relations between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates, underpinned by strong political ties. The significance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s official visit to Georgia last year was emphasised in this context.
Both parties explored opportunities to deepen cooperation across trade, economic, and investment spheres. Particular attention was given to the historic USD 6.6 billion investment by Eagle Hills in Georgia, as well as the role of the Tbilisi Dry Port project, which is being realised with investment from the United Arab Emirates. The success of other major Emirati investment companies operating in Georgia was also acknowledged.
This meeting took place during the Prime Minister’s visit to the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit. Attending alongside Prime Minister Kobakhidze were Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environment and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Justice Paata Salia, and Head of Staff of the Government of Georgia Levan Zhorzholiani.
