PM: Kaja Kallas does not recognize Georgia’s sovereignty over 100% of its territory, which is tragic for European bureaucracy
“When you artificially attempt to separate the Georgian people and the government from each other, this is the attitude which we have kave known before toward our occupied territories when the Russian Federation refused to recognize Georgia’s sovereignty over its 20%. Now Madam Kallas does not recognize Georgia’s sovereignty over 100% of its territory, which is tragic for European bureaucracy,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to Kobakhidze, European bureaucrats speak of the Georgian people and the government, when the Georgian people firmly expressed confidence in the Georgian government for a second consecutive time in 2024 and in 2025.
“In both cases, the European bureaucracy ends up in absurdity. On the one hand, they discuss Black Sea issues without Georgia when Georgia connects seven countries with the Black Sea. You can judge the absurdity. On the other hand, European bureaucrats speak of the Georgian people and the government, when the Georgian people firmly expressed confidence in the Georgian government for a second consecutive time in 2024 and in 2025. In both cases, the government secured the support of over 1,100,000 voters. This is strong support.
At this time, when you artificially attempt to separate the Georgian people and the government from each other, this is the attitude which we have kave known before toward our occupied territories when the Russian Federation did not recognize Georgia’s sovereignty over its 20%. Now we see that Madam Kallas does not recognize Georgia’s sovereignty over 100% of its territory, which is a ridiculous and tragic event for European bureaucracy,” he said.
