PM hopes U.S. Embassy to serve Trump administration, not Deep State when new ambassador appointed

“As soon as the U.S. Embassy is formed, we’ll see who it serves, whether it serves the Trump administration or the Deep State, there will immediately be a reaction to such facts,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declared in response to a journalist’s question regarding cynical statements from protest participants about Kirk’s murder and the U.S. State Department’s response to the case.

According to Kobakhidze, as of today, no U.S. ambassador has been appointed to Georgia, and there is a certain ambiguity at the embassy.

“Let’s see how the embassy ultimately takes shape. Today, no ambassador has been appointed, which is why there’s a certain ambiguity at the embassy. I hope that when an ambassador is appointed, ultimately the embassy will serve the Trump administration and not the Deep State, as former ambassadors have done over the past years,” the Prime Minister stated.
