PM: Government considering selling some buildings, constructing new ones to ensure economic activity
“The government is considering selling some buildings and constructing new ones at the same price that will double economic activity,” said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, responding to the question on the possible sale of some governmental buildings.
According to the PM, there is a plan that is not yet finalized.
“Labor conditions for our public servants are not adequate in most cases. We have a plan, although it is not yet finalized. Therefore, we have not decided which buildings this plan will refer to. We are considering selling some buildings and constructing new ones at the same price, which will double economic activity.
On the one hand, economic activity will be the construction of new buildings, which will contribute to the development of the economy, and on the other hand, when specific administrative buildings are sold for investment purposes, this will also help boost economic activity, so that we can double economic activity from a zero-sum situation,” Kobakhidze said.
