PM: Georgia ready to continue cooperation with European structures over implementation of BSSC project
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze welcomed the European Commission’s (EC) assigning the status of Project of Mutual Interest (PMI) to the Black Sea Submarine Cable (BSSC) and said Georgia was ready to continue cooperation with the European structures over the project’s implementation.
According to the PM, the BSSC project was significant for the country, adding that Georgia is actively involved in the implementation of its first phase.
“The Black Sea Submarine Cable project is significant for our country, and Georgia is actively involved in the implementation of its first phase. The situation is being studied in advance, and we are ready to continue cooperation with the European structures over its implementation,” he said.
The European Commission (EC) assigned the status of Project of Mutual Interest (PMI) to the Black Sea Submarine Cable (BSSC), connecting Georgia with European electric energy systems.
