PM: Georgia deserves candidate status to be main message to European Political Community Summit
“My main message will be that Georgia deserves EU candidate status,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili ahead of the Third European Political Community Summit.
“The main thing for us is that our country is recognized as a country with a European perspective. Now, it is necessary to take a further step on the part of the European colleagues so that Georgia receives the candidate status. This is my main message,” he said.
The PM added that he would take part in a round-table meeting where the geopolitical situation in the region, created following the Russia-Ukraine war, would be reviewed.
“We have been facing the challenges since the war, and I believe our participation in the conference will be prolific,” he said.
